Sylvia has been sewing since she was a small girl making clothes for herself and her family. Since retiring as a Primary and Special Education School Teacher she has been quilting nearly every day. Her first quilt was a sampler and she has since made quilts for her children, her friends, her family and is now making them to sell.

Sylvia guarantees satisfaction and quality, as she uses the best quality 100% cotton fabric in all her quilts with genuine 100% Australian wool batting to ensure the quilts are warm as well as safe. Sylvia says, “As a quilter and a mother I want to have the best materials that I can. This ensures that the quilts will be soft, warm and very long lasting. The wool batting is lightweight and very warm and the cotton fabrics are all pre-washed to set the colours. ”

The brands of fabrics that Sylvia likes to use are household names and are synonymous with quality. Names such as Moda, Timeless Treasures, Hoffman International, are used and she will only trust Guttermann cottons.

In her spare time Sylvia loves to read and meet with her family and friends. In November this year she is taking a trip with her lifelong friends to Vietnam and China to celebrate their milestone birthdays together. “We have been friends for many years now (having met in Kindergarten) so we decided to go away together to celebrate!”
